The abstract paintings in the OCEAN FLOWERS group of works are reminiscent of marine plant creatures: Colour, light and natural phenomena are subject areas that I make tangible in my art. Here, I combine my colour impressions from research trips to the Baltic Sea with the technique of the Rorschach test. The artist’s frames, coated with aluminium leaves, form an integral part of the abstract acrylic paintings OCEAN FLOWERS. They represent an attempt to capture the ephemeral reflections of light on the sea’s surface.
